I designed this little fruit bat to be blathers’ boyfriend :+) 

he’s an entomologist and a botanist, so you donate all your bugs to him (and tress/flowers too!) and all your fish/fossils to blathers. since blathers can’t stand bugs.

i think his name should be Ernest.
